The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G.B. Noonan replaced S.W. Flanagan on Tumbling In, trained by E. McNamara (Race 1)(injured).
K. M. Donoghue replaced S.W. Flanagan on Diamond Tipp, trained by Martin Hassett (Race 2)(injured).
S.F O'Keeffe replaced P. Townend on Wonderful Everyday, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 1)(injured).
B. Hayes replaced P. Townend on Blood Destiny (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 5)(injured).
S.F O'Keeffe replaced S.W. Flanagan on Cappucino, trained by Liz Doyle (Race 3)(injured).

148A Nora Canty (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards fined John Joseph Hanlon, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared cheek pieces to Pure Logic (GB) prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Wonderful Everyday, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

148C Southern Waste Management (M) H'cap Hdle

The Raceday Stewards informed W.P. Mullins, trainer that Western Princess, that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to race, may render the animal liable to a suspension in the future.

B. Hayes, rider of Western Princess, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount refused to race.

Following a report from an IHRB Racing Official, the Raceday Stewards interviewed trainer, Mr John Joseph Hanlon in relation to his conduct during an interaction with the IHRB Clerk of the Course Mr P. Moloney. Evidence was heard from Mr P. Moloney and Mr John Joseph Hanlon. Mr John Joseph Hanlon said he became irate over the ground conditions, he accepted that he had been abusive towards Mr P. Moloney and apologised for his actions. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr John Joseph Hanlon was in breach of Rule 272 (iii)(verbal abuse towards an Official) and having considered his clean record in this regard they fined him €250 on this occasion.

148F Beasley Engineering Hunters S'chase

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the winning post with a circuit to go involving Solitary Man, ridden by Mr J.M. Halford and Hunt Away, ridden by Mr A. Burke-Ott, where it appeared Hunt Away cut across Solitary Man. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr J.M. Halford stated that when moving up into the gap Hunt Away leaned in on top of him causing him interference. Mr A. Burke-Ott stated that he was positioned on the rail prior to jumping the fence, his mount went right on landing and initially felt he was clear of Solitary Man when he made his manoeuvre back to the rail. However, having watched the video footage he accepted that he was not clear. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr A. Burke-Ott, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden improperly and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) they suspended him for nine racedays.

148G Bryan MacMahon (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend coming into the home straight on the first circuit, involving Martymill, ridden by Miss A.B. O'Connor and Minnatrix, ridden by Mr J.W. Hendrick where it appeared Minnatrix clipped a heel and fell on the flat. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.B. O'Connor stated that she was unaware of the incident. Mr J.W. Hendrick stated that his mount was keen and clipped a heel. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J.P. O'Rourke, rider of Gusserane, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr J.P. O'Rourke was in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.

148H John B. Keane Beginners S'chase

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Brendan Maurice Walsh, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Knockbrack Rambler, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Brendan Maurice Walsh stated that today's better ground and his yard in general improving in form, may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.

Alan O'Sullivan, rider of Uptaurintop, trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped very big.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Whispering Willow, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung and jumped right.
